West London NHS Trust provides women’s low, medium and medium enhanced secure services for women who have a mental disorder and whose behaviour poses a risk of significant harm to others, but who do not require high secure care, at the Orchard unit.
Our approach to care
There is a strong emphasis on the ward as a community, with patient-centred care and multi-disciplinary team working. Service users and staff collaborate to identify service users’ needs, risks, skills and strengths, with service users taking an active role in and responsibility for managing their own safety and recovery.
