The Healthy Ealing Team has been set up to address persistent health inequalities in the borough, particularly among communities that are often underserved or overlooked. Our work is grounded in partnership, prevention, equity support for the building blocks of health. The service is to support co-ordination between local residents, community organisations, and health systems in order to ensure services are more accessible, and support is culturally appropriate and meaningful.

Communities we work with:

  • Sanctuary seeking residents (asylum seekers and refugees)
  • Homeless and rough sleepers
  • Gypsy, Roma and Traveller community
  • Hong Kong Community
  • Ukrainian community
  • Ethnic groups experiencing specific inequalities in health and social outcomes

What we can offer:

  • Organising and supporting health-related events, such as health fairs and wellbeing workshops
  • Delivering and facilitating training to upskill professionals and volunteers in culturally competent care and community engagement
  • Providing talks and presentations to raise awareness about health inequalities and available resources, tailored to specific community groups or professional audiences
  • Supporting partnership working, helping to connect statutory and voluntary services for collaborative, place-based solutions
