The Trust is currently looking at the provision for patients needing in-patient mental health services and in particular the longer-term future of Hope and Horizon Wards. Timely online information from an early stage is part of open and transparent engagement with patients, carers, staff and the public. We are now looking at the long-term provision of Wolsey wing beds.

West London NHS Trust has an aspiration to become one of the greenest trusts in London if not the UK. In order to meet our carbon reduction, air pollution and waste targets, we have developed a comprehensive Green Plan, which will help the Trust to meet its strategic objectives and overall ambition of becoming carbon neutral by 2040 (reduced from 2050 in line with NHS target). This plan sets out our aims, objectives, principles and targets to achieve environmental improvements now, and for future generations whilst continuing to provide high-quality care and continuously improve the health and well-being of patients and staff.

The Allied Health Professions (AHPs) Conference was held in person for the first time in three years. The event which was held at the DoubleTree in Ealing brought together AHPs from across the Trust.

Yesterday (Thursday 16 February), Stonewall, Europe's largest charity for lesbian, gay, bi, trans and queer rights, launched its widely anticipated Top 100 Employers List 2023.

The Trust will be marking Social Work Week from Monday 20 March to Friday 24 March. The theme this year is - 'Respecting Diversity Through Joint Social Action'. As part of the week, the Trust will be hosting an event at Brentford Football Club on World Social Work Day (Tuesday 21 March) for NHS social workers.
