We’re delighted to announce that our Chief Executive Carolyn Regan has been ranked in the top 50 NHS Chief Executives in the Health Service Journal (HSJ) Top Chief Executives 2022.

In its eighth year, the awards are judged by leading figures in the health sector recognising exceptional leaders in NHS trusts across England.

Candidates for the award were judged against key criteria in what has been a very challenging period for the NHS. Criteria included; the performance of the organisation they lead, their performance during the pandemic, and the contribution the chief executive has made to the wider health and social care system.

Carolyn is an experienced chief executive joining the trust in 2015, prior to this she established the West London Clinical Commissioning Group in 2012 after spending four years as Chief Executive of the Legal Service Commission. She has also been chief executive at a number of NHS strategic organisations, including North East London Strategic Health Authority, East London and the City Health Authority and West Hertfordshire Health Authority.

Congratulations to all the chief executives recognised in this year’s list.

Eugine Yafele, chief executive of Dorset HealthCare University Foundation Trust, was the winner in this catergory.

In second place was Tracy Allen from Derbyshire Community Health Services Foundation Trust.
