Volunteers' Week is back from the 1 – 7 June, and this year’s theme is to ‘Celebrate and inspire’. To mark the week here Trust Chief Executive Carolyn Regan penned a special message to recognise our amazing volunteers.

“On behalf of everyone here at the Trust I would like to take this opportunity to celebrate our inspirational volunteers and express our gratitude to them for the amazing work they do, and all the unique passion, ideas and inspiration they bring.”

The Trust's volunteering service has seen a steady growth over the last year. Volunteers are now placed in 21 different roles at the Trust ranging from event stewarding to supporting our staff on wards, office support and much more.

Rashpal Saini, Volunteer manager said; “The Trust is so special because of our volunteers and their levels of passion, skills and dedication to our services. It means we can be right there together, every time and with every contact counting for outstanding patient care. We would not have anywhere near the impact that we do without the incredible people from the local community who choose to support us. “

“Our volunteers come from a range of backgrounds and with a range of motivations. They can be students, working professionals, staff who want to experience another side of the NHS, career changers, those in retirement, refugee and asylum seekers, lived experience to name a few. As an inclusive volunteering organisation, we look to centre our engagement around this people first approach.”

Throughout the week we will continue to celebrate our volunteers and aim to inspire more people to get involved. We will be covering Volunteers Week' on our West London social media channels, so do follow and tag us using the hashtags #NationalVolunteersWeek #volunteersweek #Getinvolved
