Two key appointments confirmed

West London NHS Trust is pleased to confirm the appointment of Dr Derek Tracy as Medical Director and Dr Christopher Hilton as Director of Local & Specialist Services.

Dr Tracy will be joining from Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust where he is currently the Clinical Director for Bexley, and a Consultant Psychiatrist in the Bexley Home and Day Treatment Team. Dr Tracy was the Medical Lead for Mental Health at the London Nightingale Hospital during the early stages of the pandemic.

Dr Hilton has worked in a number of roles at the Trust, most recently being Clinical Director of Integrated Care Services, leading on the creation and delivery of Ealing Community Partners.

Dr Derek Tracy said:

“I’m really looking forward to taking up the role at West London NHS Trust. It’s an organisation that has made significant strides in recent years and I want to help carry on that progress. I’ll be sad to leave friends and colleagues at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust but working in mental health and community services is my passion and I can’t wait to get started at West London.”

Dr Christopher Hilton said:

“I’m delighted to step up and join the Board, having worked in the Trust as a medic at all levels and in all three boroughs over the years. I’m looking forward to working with teams across local services as we continue on our path towards making our mental health and community health services outstanding.

“I’m proud of the achievements in the first two years of Ealing Community Partners – but will relish the chance to raise the profile of these services at Board level, and to influence opportunities to improve integration for our service users with both mental and physical health needs – also learning from our new medical director and his achievements in South East London.”
