The CCIO Advisory Panel is a key component of the ‘Digital Health Networks’, a national forum of NHS digital leaders. Comprising 12 elected members, the panel plays a vital role in shaping the future of digital healthcare across the UK. Members advise NHS England on policy, contribute to national guidance and white papers, and collaborate with major industry partners including Microsoft, InterSystems, Dell, and Imprivata.

During her two-year term, Yvette will help steer national conversations on digital transformation in healthcare - participating in conferences, webinars, and publications - while ensuring that insights from the frontline are reflected in national strategy. Her work will focus on critical areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) safety, Information Technology (IT) interoperability (allowing data to flow between systems), and clinical system improvement.

Yvette brings a wealth of experience to the role. At West London NHS Trust, she leads on the implementation of electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA), AI governance, and innovation in medicines optimisation. She also contributes to regional digital working groups and is currently completing the NHS Digital Health Leadership Programme, delivered by the NHS Leadership Academy in partnership with Imperial College London.

Her recent work includes developing and testing AI tools to streamline clinical queries and onboarding processes. Reflecting on her appointment, Yvette said:

“The panel role complements all of this by providing a national platform to feed in local insight and bring back learning that supports what we’re doing at Trust level.”

Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Suhana Ahmed, also recognised her achievement, stating: “I’m absolutely delighted at the news that Yvette has been elected to the elected CCIO Network Advisory Panel. Having known Yvette since she started in the Trust a few years ago and having worked closely with her on some of her projects, I can say with certainty she will bring an enormous amount to the role as she does here at West London.”

Joint Chief of Pharmacy Raj Parekh and Camron Stacey, shared Suhana’s sentiments and said: “It is a pleasure and honour to have Yvette as part of the pharmacy team. As well as being passionate about digitalisation in the NHS, she is a formidable clinician with a positive attitude. We do not doubt that her contributions to the national panel will bring benefits to users and providers of health delivery.

“We are all proud that you will be representing West London NHS Trust and putting us on the map. Well done.”

Congratulations, Yvette!
