Jimmy Garber, Associate Practice Development Nurse received an InsideOut award for ‘Lifetime commitment to wellbeing’ for contributions made over 17 years, through his charity UK 3 Lions CIC.

The charity is a men’s celebrity football team, comprising famous singers, actors and prominent role models, which supports other charities and causes internationally.

Jimmy said:

I could not have achieved this without the amazing celebrity volunteers who have spent time in our ranks. We participate in, facilitate and organise high profile events (football games and concerts) at home and abroad supporting charities, youth development organisations, anti-knife crime, mental and physical health charities and organisations. No cause is too small but our soul passion is youth and youth development at home and abroad.

“Over the years we have had volunteers such as pop group East 17, actors from James Bond and Star Wars, ex celebrity football players, cast from Hollyoaks and Love Island, The Voice, Celebrity Chefs, and opera singers to name just a few.”

UK3 Lions CIC is registered with the English Football Association, and is recognised by British Ambassadors and the British Council for the work they do.

Currently they are planning a tour to Slovenia to promote adolescent mental health, and raise money for the children’s ward in Epsom Hospital.

The InsideOut Awards are an annual celebration that recognises organisations, initiatives, and individuals who champion mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
