Congratulations to Martina Gomez who has been shortlisted for a Nursing Times Award.

Martina who works as a community learning disability nurse for the Trust has been shortlisted for the Ann Shuttleworth Rising Star Award.

It’s a fantastic achievement to be shortlisted for a Nursing Times Award and a reflection of all Martina’s hard work.

James Davies, Head of Nursing for the ICS, said: “Congratulations to Martina Gomez on her outstanding achievement of being shortlisted for the prestigious Ann Shuttleworth Rising Star Award at the Nursing Times Awards 2023.

"Martina's dedication, passion, and exceptional commitment to nursing have made a remarkable impact on both her patients and colleagues. Her unwavering pursuit of excellence in patient care is truly inspiring and serves as a shining example to all aspiring nurses.

"Martina's relentless drive to go above and beyond in her role embodies the true spirit of a rising star, and we are immensely proud to have her as part of our nursing team.

The awards bring together the nursing community to shine a light on the brightest talent in the profession  and recognise those making nursing innovative, patient-focused and inclusive.

The awards were open to entries from individuals and teams, or nominations from those who wish to highlight a nurse or team who they believe deserves recognition. 

They will take place at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in London on Wednesday 25 October.
