Patients are being asked to complete the 2023 Community Mental Health Survey. As part of ongoing improvements, this year, people aged 16 and 17 are also being invited to complete the survey.

The annual survey which is led by the CQC will be running in July and August and will be available to complete online or in paper form.

It’s part of a national programme to improve quality of care and the service user experience.

The survey explores the experiences of patients who have received care in the community for a mental health condition.

The greater the number of patients who complete the survey the greater the insight into the care we provide.

Last year nearly 15,000 people took part in the survey.

It’s important to add that participation is always voluntary and answers are kept confidential.

Patients’ information will not be shared with anyone else and all published data is anonymised.

Information about completing the survey will be sent directly to service users at their home addresses. People aged 16 and 17 are also being invited to complete the survey.

If patients speak in a different language and would like to complete the survey they should call 0800 783 1775, or contact patientexperience@westlondon.nhs.uk and the team will be able to support them.

You can find out more about the survey on the CQC website.
