Weather warnings are in place in London and nationwide - including rare red warnings for wind. The Met Office fears "significant gusts" could lead to flying debris endangering lives.

NHS services updates

NHS services are currently running as normal in West London and wider, however any disruption or changes to services will be published on this page.

The red weather warning is in place to reflect the higher likelihood of impacts. This means there could be:

  • Flying debris resulting in danger to life

  • Damage to buildings and homes, with roofs blown off and power lines brought down

  • Roads, bridges and railway lines closed, with delays and cancellations to transport

  • Power cuts affecting other services, such as mobile phone coverage
