On the 2 June, Ruth Cadbury MP for Brentford and Isleworth was welcomed by Chief Executive Carolyn Regan and Chief Operating Officer Christopher Hilton at the Trust’s Lakeside mental health unit, Isleworth.

Ms Cadbury met with staff from clinical teams to hear about the specialised mental health services and care we provide to people across North West London.

During a tour of the facilities clinicians shared how they support patients that present to the unit under section 136 of the mental health act, with their initial assessment and treatment plan.

Lakeside Mental Health Unit is a specialist hospital that provides care for people who are experiencing acute mental health problems in four wards. The unit provides full assessment and in-patient treatment, based on individual needs, with a focus on recovery.

Ms Cadbury also heard from staff about the work of the occupational therapy teams with patients using art therapy techniques to support their treatment and recovery.

We greatly appreciate the MP's recognition of the importance of mental health services in the borough, and the work of our staff. We look forward to working together in the future”.
