Recently appointed Chief Executive of NHS DigitalSimon Bolton, visited a range of North West London sites, including Lakeside Mental Health Unit, on Wednesday 7 July.

The visit was hosted by Dr Arjun Dhillon, a local GP Partner who also leads the ECP Enhanced Care in Care Homes service, and Dr Chris Hilton, Clinical Director of Integrated Care Services.

Together they visited a primary care practice in Isleworth run by Dr Dhillon’s Argyle Group. This was followed by a visit to Lakeside Mental Health Unit, where our Clinical Lead (Acute) Dr Murray Morrison, Service Manager Ajay Dhoopnarain and Deputy Director of Business Technology Andrew McEwan offered a tour of the inpatient wards, answered questions about our clinical systems and transformation plans.

Dr Jonathan Scott (our Chief Clinical Information Officer) and Trevor Nelms (our Director of Business Technology) joined later as part of a roundtable discussion where Simon Bolton heard views about the challenges faced by working across health and care interfaces, and discussed potential ways to collaborate in future projects.

On his visit, Simon Bolton said:

“I look forward to working and collaborating with you all in the near future. A strong partnership between the centre and those directly engaged in patient care is crucial to improving health outcomes across the system."
