Perinatal Film 2 social2.jpgAfter a successful premiere earlier this year, we're pleased to announce that West London NHS Trust is hosting a second screening of the Mother tongue, motherhood, and mental health short films. The powerful collection of films features women from diverse communities across West London sharing their experiences of perinatal mental illness in their mother tongue.

Maternal mental ill-health is a subject that affects countless families, but it is often still kept hidden or unacknowledged within communities. Stigma and fear of judgement can be a powerful barrier to mothers accessing help. These films aim to shed light on the experiences and triumphs of mothers from diverse backgrounds who have worked with the West London Perinatal Mental Health Service to navigate their way to recovery.
