On the 30 May Chief Executive Carolyn Regan and Trust Chair Elizabeth Rantzen welcomed James Murray MP for Ealing North to the Trust to visit mental health facilities in Ealing.

The visit included the Three Bridges medium secure unit, Tony Hillis low secure unit and the older peoples’ mental health services.

During the visit Mr Murray spoke to staff across sites to hear about their work supporting patients with their journey to recovery.

The tour also addressed some of the challenges facing the NHS and highlighted the importance of modern day infrastructure for better mental health care. Mr Murray also had the opportunity to interact with some of our patients to hear about their experience and feedback on the facilities.

Mr Murray said “I was very glad to visit West London NHS Trust to have a chance to hear first-hand from patients and the see the inspiring dedication of frontline mental health staff. It is vital that mental health is treated as seriously as physical health, and that we make sure the NHS is able to give people the mental health support they need.”

Carolyn said “It was a pleasure to welcome James to the Trust and share our key priorities going forward. It was an opportunity to highlight our plans for our estates and facilities so we can make sure we are able to continue to provide a high standard of care in our local community.

I know he was particularly impressed with the dedication and commitment of our staff at the Trust.”
