The NHS is launching its annual national survey on people’s experiences of using mental health services. If you have used services in April or May 2025, you could be invited to take part and give feedback on your experience in our care.

People will be randomly chosen to take part in the national survey and then given the choice of completing it online or as a paper questionnaire. The survey is confidential, carried out by the Care Quality Commission, the regulator for healthcare services.

Your answers will remain confidential and will not be shared with our staff, meaning your care and treatment will not be affected in any way. The NHS Community Mental Health Survey is approved under Section 251 of the NHS Act 2006, allowing us to use contact details solely for this purpose.

The survey results will be published in Spring 2026 and will play an important role in reviewing and improving Community Mental Health Trusts across England. What we learn will guide future priorities and support us in providing the highest quality care for you and others in our community.

If you are invited to take part, please know that your perspective matters—whether your contact with our services has been frequent or occasional, every response makes a difference.

If you are invited to take part in the survey and need help completing it, please call Quality Health freephone helpline on: 0800 783 1775 or email the team on helpline-QH@iqvia.com
