Donna Sloss (Practice Development Nurse, pictured right) and Bernadette Makope (Clinical Team Leader, pictured left) were lucky winners of a competition to watch some fantastic tennis at Wimbledon's Centre Court on Monday 5 July.

They had a wonderful time and saw three games; Novak Djokovic v Cristian Garin, Coco Gauff v Angelique Kerber and Roger Federer v Lorenzo Sonego. They brought their husbands along to enjoy the day too.

On winning the tickets, Donna said:

"I am a child of the 70s and 80s, and [my home nation] Scotland went mad for Borg, McEnroe and Navratilova for two weeks every year. Cars couldn’t drive round the streets normally as the kids had turned them into tennis courts with makeshift nets, chalk lines, and umpires. When I first heard I won Wimbledon tickets, I was chuffed. I also turn 50 this month so coming to Wimbledon on my special birthday month makes it even more special."

Bernadette said:

"It was a dream come true. I had a wonderful day watching my favourite sport. I did not think that one day I would watch tennis championships at such a close proximity. I was honoured to watch great players like Federer, Kerber and Djokovic. From the bottom of my heart, ‘thank you’."
