Dr Benjamin, started her role as Chief medical officer in July this year, she is also a practicing GP. Since her appointment she has been visiting various organisations to get a sense of how they work by listening directly to frontline staff. During her visit on the 28 October she spent the morning visiting several teams based at the Three Bridges medium secure unit, Jubilee ward for Older peoples’ mental health services and the Ealing Crisis and Assessment Team.
Chief Executive Carolyn Regan and Chief Medical Officer Dr Derek Tracy accompanied Dr Benjamin on the visit to our services. Dr Benjamin said she was hugely struck by the enthusiasm and friendliness of the staff and gained a great insight into the services we provide. Derek added that it was great to have an opportunity to showcase the work that we do in West London and to demonstrate the key roles we play as part of a wider system with our primary care and neighbouring Trust colleagues.
