Psychological Professions Week has been an annual event since the establishment of the Psychological Professions Networks (PPNs) across the UK. PPN London is chaired by the Trust’s Director of Psychological Professions, Dr Estelle Moore, and offers a regional network for the capital across its five integrated care systems.

This year, West London NHS Trust marked the occasion with a celebration day for staff on Wednesday 13 November 2024, held at The Ealing Project, a local venue in the heart of one of our boroughs. The day provided an opportunity to reflect on the inspiring stories of survival, change, and resilience shared by the clients, colleagues, and carers with whom we work.

The event, coordinated by Dr Nicky Hartigan, Psychological Professions Workforce Lead for Local Services, was designed to connect and engage our 700 plus psychological professionals at West London NHS Trust.

The day featured poster presentations showcasing the work of clinicians in our Talking Therapies services and insights into the role of Arts Therapies in forensic and other settings.

The Trust’s strategic vision of making all health and care psychologically informed was presented by Dr Estelle Moore. Attendees also enjoyed a talk from comedian Shappi Khorsandi and an interactive session with the Love2Sing choir.

The Trust are proud to be celebrating the invaluable contributions of our psychological professionals.
