We were proud to host our 2025 Long Service Awards, a cherished annual tradition that celebrates the dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment of our exceptional staff.
Each year, we recognise colleagues who reach significant career milestones with the Trust — celebrating their many years of service. As part of this recognition, every milestone recipient received a certificate of appreciation and a trophy on the days of the celebrations.
This year’s celebrations
- A virtual event on Thursday 6 November honoured colleagues marking 15 and 20 years of service
- A special in-person gathering on Friday 7 November celebrated those reaching 25 to 40 years of service
These events reflect the depth of experience and loyalty within our organisation — a true embodiment of the values we hold in all our roles.
The event began with a heartfelt message from our Chief Executive, Maria O’Brien. Maria said: “This is a remarkable occasion to honour and recognise the many years of dedicated service our colleagues have given to the Trust. Today is a celebration of the progress, changes, and challenges you’ve embraced in helping make our Trust a great place to work."
The in-person celebration was hosted by Ali Webster, Director of Organisational Development, who led attendees on a nostalgic journey through the years 1999, 1994, and 1984, complete with themed music and interactive quizzes.
Michael Venerables, Security Operations Manager, who received the Long Service Award for 25 years of service said: “I’m truly grateful to our Trust for recognising my years of service. It’s been an incredible privilege to work with such dedicated, talented, and compassionate colleagues who make a real difference. Celebrating this milestone alongside so many long-serving team members was both humbling and heartwarming; sharing memories, laughter, and stories from our journeys together."
We are deeply proud of our long-serving colleagues. Their continued dedication plays a very important role in shaping the Trust’s success and inspiring our entire workforce.
