Call Speak CAMHS for support if you're worried about your mental health and:

  • You're a child or young person
  • You live in Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, or Hounslow.

Parents and carers can also call the helpline if they're concerned about your mental health.

Call 0800 328 4444 and choose Option 2 for CAMHS.

The helpline is open:

  • Monday to Friday from 8am to 11pm
  • Weekends and Bank holidays from midday to 8pm

Outside these hours, crisis calls will be passed to an out of hours CAMHS professional. If they're not available to talk straight away, you can arrange a call back.

If you're already receiving help from CAMHS and it's within office hours, it’s a good idea to call your regular care team.

You may be able to speak to someone who knows you case well. If your regular worker is not available, you can ask to speak to a duty worker.

If your CAMH Service is not open or you would like general help, you can contact Speak CAMHS for additional support.

Parents, carers and professionals can also call the Speak CAMHS helpline if they have mental health concerns about a child or young person, in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, or Hounslow.

The helpline:

  • Provides advice and guidance to children and young people, their families, carers, CAMHS colleagues in West London, and other professionals who work with children in the community, such as GPs, social workers, and teachers.
  • Works closely with the wider CAMHS network to ensure that children and young people, families, carers and referrers receive an efficient timely response when they need advice, support and signposting to other services.
  • Aims to avoid and de-escalate periods of crisis for children and young people, reducing visits to emergency departments and avoiding admissions to psychiatric hospital.

The name of the helpline, Speak CAMHS, was chosen in a competition and Twitter poll open to young people across West London.

Together with the Speak CAMHS helpline, the CAMHS out of hours service ensures 24 hour, 365 day access to a specialist CAMHS professional, able to support children and young people, to ensure that they have personalised, considered guidance when they need it.
