West London Mental Health Trust (WLMHT) staff are calling for donations to a Christmas hamper appeal this Thursday 5 December. The trust’s Ealing Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHT) are working with the Acton Food Bank service to help people in need over the Christmas period with basic provisions irrespective of their faith.
The team want to ensure their Ealing patients enjoy a healthy hearty festive season by collecting food donations and delivering them to the community in the run up to Christmas.
Vishal Jugessur, from the team, explains: “Working in acute care, we often come across people who do not have enough food or basic supplies during the festive period. As a team we decided that we should do something practical to help and so are delighted to be working with a local charity to collect food donations for people who need some support.
“To that end we’re inviting everyone to work with us and donate to this worthwhile Christmas cause.”
Collection day will be on Thursday 5 December and all donations can be dropped off at the Ealing CRHT base at Wolsey Wing at St Bernards Hospital, trust headquarters at Armstrong Way, Southall (opposite Screwfix) and Manor Gate Recovery Centre, 1A Manor Gate Northolt UB5 5TG in the west of the borough. Alternatively please contact the CRHT office number on 0208 483 2059.
