West London NHS Trust Chairman Tom Hayhoe finished the Richmond Half Marathon in style yesterday with a time of two hours and 19 minutes.
Tom raised over £2,000 for the Trust’s charity.
The charity is dedicated to raising money for wards and departments across the Trust’s sites to improve the experience of service users, carers and families.
It has funded projects at the Trust’s mental health units, including the indoor garden at The Limes, Southall, fitness trackers at The Orchard, Ealing, and new gym equipment at Lakeside, based at West Middlesex Hospital, Isleworth. Donations have also contributed to the success of the popular Hounslow Hawks community football team, which is made up of the Trust’s service users.
Tom said: “It is a fantastic feeling to have raised over £2,000 for the Trust’s charity. I may have a few aches and pains now but it was well worth it!”
