Staff and patients rise to the occasion

25 Oct 2013

Trust staff and service users raised nearly £800 on World Mental Health Day through a series of pop-up cake shops.

The innovative project sold cakes and biscuits designed and made by patients and staff to raise awareness of depression and challenge the stigma attached to mental health.

The money raised will be used for collaborative mental health projects and to help raise awareness of mental health issues.

World Mental Health Day (10 October) is a day for global mental health education and awareness. On this day thousands of supporters hold events to bring attention to mental health issues and the major affect it can have on people’s lives.
