The Trust has teamed up with Healthy Schools Ealing, Ealing Music Service, Talented Schools and the London Borough of Ealing to host a conference to break the silence of mental health for young people.
Taking place on Thursday 7 February and coinciding with Children’s Mental Health Week (4-10 February), the conference has been co-designed with a panel of young people from various secondary schools across the London Borough of Ealing and two of the workshops on the day will be delivered by young people for young people.
On the day, young people in attendance will be trained as Mental Health Ambassadors. These ambassadors will then cascade what they learn at the conference within their schools with the support of their designated teacher(s).
Ealing Music Service, NHS Ealing CCG, Ealing Learning Partnership and Ealing Local Authority will all be represented on the day.
The day will be split into two events, the first of which will be a set of mental health workshops ran by the Trust’s Neurodevelopmental Service and Eating Disorders Service. The day will then be rounded off with the Ealing’s Got Talent live final.
