On Friday 1 July we welcomed Anne Rainsberry, NHS England’s regional director for London, on a visit to Broadmoor Hospital.
As July diabetes awareness month, Anne was interested in seeing how we manage patients’ physical healthcare at Broadmoor, and how we’re increasingly working within an integrated care model.
Anne met with chief executive Carolyn Regan, and director of high secure and forensic services Leeanne McGee. She also heard more about integrated care at the hospital from Dr Robert Bates, clinical director for Broadmoor Hospital, and Broadmoor GP Dr Jonathan Bickford.
Anne also found out more about the redevelopment of the new 210 bedded hospital, which is due to open in 2017.
