Ealing Community Partners celebrates its first anniversary today (1 July) with a series of virtual ‘drop-in’ events for staff – recognising many people are working remotely – as well as a socially distanced tea party at Clayponds Hospital, and a short video summarising the first year’s achievements.
Ealing Community Partners is a group of NHS, Ealing Council and voluntary organisations working together to deliver community health and care services for the people of Ealing. The partnership is led by West London NHS Trust.
The creation of Ealing Community Partners brought together more than 800 staff and has delivered over 100,000 episodes of care in the last 12 months.
Carolyn Regan, Chief Executive of West London NHS Trust, said:
“Happy birthday and well done to all colleagues working as part of Ealing Community Partners. The first year has been a success and shows that a template of collaborative working across different organisations and different sectors can work for delivering high quality community health services.”
Dr Christopher Hilton, Clinical Director for Integrated Care Services, said:
“We’re really pleased with how the first year has gone. It’s been busy with 800 referrals to inpatients services, almost 80,000 referrals in the community and primary care support to residents of over 1,000 care home beds, not to mention the complications of the Covid-19 pandemic. I’d like to thank and congratulate the staff from all of the organisations involved in Ealing Community Partners.”
Matthew Winn, Director of Community Health, NHS England and NHS Improvement said:
“It is evident that Ealing Community Partners are doing a lot of what is detailed in the NHS Long Term Plan. They are working together as a community to benefit the residents of Ealing. I’m looking forward to seeing the partnership go from strength to strength as I think we can learn across London and across the country from the way they are working. Well done everyone.”
