Hammersmith Bridge closure

15 Apr 2019

On Wednesday 10 April, it was announced that Hammersmith Bridge was to close for motorists indefinitely. This is due to ‘critical faults’ on the bridge, meaning that only pedestrians and cyclists can pass. This may affect those trying to access the Trust’s services across Hammersmith and Fulham.

Suzanne Morton, Head of Nursing for Local Services, has said:

“We have a number of services around the Hammersmith Bridge area that may be affected for different reasons due to its closure. Staff commuting to work may need to find an alternative route. Our community staff may need to plan visits differently as well as notifying service users and carers who may have appointments or who wish to visit loved ones.”

Due to a Virgin Media fault, staff working out of Brentford Lodge have lost access to emails and telephones. Services affected are:- Hounslow Primary Care Mental Health Service, Alliance CAMHS, Recovery College, Well-Network and part of Hounslow IAPT
