After almost ten months of building works, there has been a great deal of progress for the new Broadmoor Hospital site.
We’re inviting local residents to our spring information days for updates on the project and to tell you all about the works scheduled to take place this summer.
Vivienne Mowatt, redevelopment programme director, said: “We’re well into our first year of construction, so passers-by can actually see the buildings beginning to take shape. It’s amazing how quickly the new hospital is going up, especially when you consider the significant impact it will have on our patients and services, and the vast improvements it will bring in mental health treatment and care for many, many years to come.
“The hospital also plays an important role in the local community, so it’s essential that we continue to let people know what’s going on and remind them just how much this redevelopment is needed.”
Information days take place at the Crowthorne Library and The Meadows Shopping Centre in Sandhurst where new images illustrating the progress of the construction on site will be displayed. Representatives from the redevelopment team and Kier, the trust’s main contractors, will also be available to answer any questions local residents might have.
- Tuesday 21 April, 12pm – 2pm: Meadows Shopping Centre
- Thursday 23 April, 12pm – 2pm and 2pm-5pm: Crowthorne Library
