AGM 2016 - Reflecting on a year of change

29 Sep 2016

“Much achieved, more to do” was the clear message from our Annual General Meeting, held yesterday evening (28 September) at Hounslow Civic Centre.

agm-01The event was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to find out more about the work being done by the trust to improve quality and provide services that are more responsive and provide for both physical and mental health needs.

Many of our services and partners had market stalls for people to find out more about their work, and One You Ealing were offering free BMI and blood pressure checks as well as advice on healthy living.

During the presentations, the audience heard from members of the board about how we’ve been transforming services and creating new or expanded teams so that we can give patients and carers the best possible care. Audience members also heard about our ambitious plans for the future, including the new Broadmoor Hospital and expansion of our recovery house programme.

There was also a video round up of what we’ve achieved this year, and a lively debate with the chance to ask questions during the panel discussion. There were some challenging questions and critical remarks, which the board accepted and committed to follow up, whilst acknowledging the significant progress that has been achieved by our staff over the past year.

The evening concluded with a captivating musical performed by Eleanor, a young service user from our child and adolescent service (CAMHS).

Many thanks to all the staff, patients and carers who attended the AGM.
