West London NHS Trust has published its Annual Report and Accounts for 2018-19.
The report highlights a range of highlights and achievements from the year, including:
- A Good overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, with Outstanding for being caring
- A new partnership, led by the Trust, to deliver community health and care services in Ealing
- Steady progress in upgrading and replacing the Trust’s Victorian estate
- A range of innovative schemes to recruit and retain high calibre staff at the Trust.
Carolyn Regan, Chief Executive, said:
“2018-19 marked a significant turning point for the Trust. It was a year during which the hard work and commitment of our staff, working in partnership with service users, carers and families, put the Trust on a much firmer footing to deliver the best quality care for our communities.
“Our ambition for the year ahead is to build on what we have achieved and to go from good to great. We look forward to moving into our new hospital in Broadmoor towards the end of 2019 after many years of planning and construction. We will continue to strive to make our Trust a diverse and rewarding place to work. And the commitment in the NHS Long Term Plan to additional funding for mental health encourages us to work even harder to remove the stigma which is still associated with mental illness.”
