Forensic services are now smoke-free

04 Jan 2016

The trust’s forensic services at St Bernard’s Hospital have gone smoke-free from today (4 January).

Smoke-free banner - The OrchardLocal services inpatient and community sites will be going smoke-free next week, on Monday 11 January, which means tobacco products can no longer be used on any of our sites.

This includes all of our wards, grounds, and vehicles. Patients will also be asked to refrain from smoking during home visits.

There are many benefits to stopping smoking, such as an improved immune system and increased energy levels, as well as a reduced risk of smoking related diseases.

As well as improving your physical health, your mental health will also see the benefits, as being smoke-free helps relieve stress, anxiety and depression in the long-term.

For help quitting, call Smokefree Ealing on 020 8579 8622 or contact your local NHS stop smoking service.

We’re changing the way some of our services are delivered during the coronavirus (Covid-19) public health emergency.Find out more
