We provide full support for learning across the Trust, with opportunities that can enhance your career whilst giving you the skills to deliver an excellent service.

Our two Learning and Development centres, in Ealing and at Broadmoor Hospital, allow us to provide excellent training facilities. We also run major conferences, such as our annual Recovery Conference at Broadmoor Hospital.
We offer a full range of clinical courses, including in-house cognitive behavioural therapy training.
We also run a preceptorship scheme for newly qualified nurses and occupational therapists during their first year.
Clinical supervision is provided to all our clinical staff, and this is supported with training courses.
Leadership and management development
Our leaders make sure that we’re all pulling in the same direction and are responsible for making important day to day decisions.
We’re committed to the development of our clinical leaders and managers and run an in-house leadership and management development programme, which is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management.
We also have an established mentoring programme.
Vocational training and support
We are keen that everyone has the opportunity to enhance their life skills. We offer courses in literacy, numeracy and English as a second language.
We also have a very active IT training department and provide training from a basic level through to ECDL (European computer driving licence).
We are an NVQ (national vocational qualification) accredited centre and offer qualifications in the following:
- NVQ cleaning at levels one and two.
- NVQ care at level two and three.
- NVQ admin at level two and three.
- NVQ custodial care at level two and three.
