Carolyn Regan joined West London NHS Trust as Chief Executive in December 2015.
Carolyn is a highly experienced Chief Executive, both within the healthcare sector and the justice system. Before joining the Trust, she established the West London Clinical Commissioning Group in 2012, after spending four years as Chief Executive of the Legal Service Commission.
Prior to this, Carolyn was a Chief Executive at a number of NHS strategic organisations, including North East London Strategic Health Authority, East London and the City Health Authority and West Hertfordshire Health Authority.
Carolyn was also national lead for the health components of the London 2012 Olympic bid.
Carolyn is currently Chair of the London Mental Health in Integrated Care Systems Programme Board, which reports to the London Mental Health Transformation Board. She is also Senior Responsible Officer for the North West London Transformation Board, which brings together providers, commissioners and service users.
She is also the Chair of Trustees of Just for Kids Law – a charity that provides advocacy, support and assistance to young people and children in difficulty – and a board member of the Press Recognition Panel.
In late 2017, Carolyn was listed in the ‘Financial Times’ OUTStanding list of top 20 LGBT public sector leaders. She was also recognised as an outstanding woman leader within the NHS in London by the London Women’s Leadership Network, to coincide with the NHS’ 70th birthday in July 2018.
